劉子龍的鐵胎曜變建盞與日本滕田美術館藏的曜變建盞都是極爲珍貴的陶瓷藝術品。目前全世界僅發現三件完整且公認的曜變建盞,分別珍藏於日本的靜嘉堂文庫美術館、京都大德寺龍光院和大阪藤田美術館。這些曜變建盞被日本政府定爲國寶,並且每七到十年展出一次。
曜變建盞,也稱曜變天目,是在建盞燒製過程中自然形成的一種獨特斑紋,這種斑紋的形成過程非常短暫且難以控制,因此曜變建盞具有很高的隨機性和藝術價值。曜變建盞的形成是由於在燒造過程中三價鐵迅速轉化爲二價鐵,形成干涉膜,在光照下產生變色現象。如果這一瞬間被成功地凝固下來,就形成了曜變效果。

The iron-body glazed Jian ware of Liu Zilong and the Japanese藤田美術館 Collection of glazed Jian ware are both extremely valuable ceramic artworks. Currently, only three complete and universally recognized glazed Jian ware have been discovered in the world, which are respectively cherished in the Japanese Seikado Bunko Art Museum, the Ryukokuji Dragon Light Hall in Kyoto, and the Osaka藤田美術館. These glazed Jian ware have been designated as national treasures by the Japanese government and are exhibited every seven to ten years.
Glazed Jian ware, also known as glaze-changing Tianmu, is a unique pattern that naturally forms during the firing process of Jian ware. The formation process of this pattern is very short and difficult to control, making glazed Jian ware highly random and valuable. The formation of glazed Jian ware is due to the rapid conversion of trivalent iron to divalent iron during the firing process, forming an interference film that produces a color change under light. If this moment is successfully solidified, it forms a glaze-changing effect.
Liu Zilong's iron-body glazed Jian ware, due to its unique artistic value and historical significance, is as important as the glazed Jian ware collected in the Japanese藤田美術館 for studying and appreciating the ancient Chinese ceramic art. These works not only reflect the superb level of ceramic craftsmanship at the time, but also serve as an important witness to Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges.
